Never trust the baby when things become quiet!

I usually relish in peace and quiet with my son but something was too quiet. I was on the computer in the kitchen and little buddy was playing at my feet. He then crawled across the room. He is fascinated with the garbage can. He was still in the same room so I let him play a bit. (He can't get into the garbage, yet) I turned my head that direction a few times but he was behind the table and I couldn't see exactly what he was doing. Then he got quiet. Unusually quiet for him. So I peeled myself away from Pinterest only to find a huge mess. I couldn't even get mad about it, he looked too cute!. I had to grab the camera quick. From here out I'll let the photos talk.....

Wheat flour. Who knew? Kid loves it! (even plain)
That led to this....

Which was followed shortly by this....

Finally...

Now back to our regular scheduled programing!

It's just not in me!

I went to church alone (again) today..... Every time I tell myself, "I'm staying for all three meetings!" Yeah right!!! I have one kid, ONE! I see these families with three or more kids. How do they do it? I am exhausted after one hour! I'm betting on the fact that their kids go to primary the second and third hours so these people get to enjoy their other classes. Little buddy is not nursery age for another 8 months! What's the trick? How will I ever be able to wrestle him for 3 total hours and try to remain cool and collected, and mind you, REVERENT? I just don't see this happening for me. Maybe I can realistically go to all three meetings when Chris isn't working. I understand that church is important. How much am I really getting from it in the hall? Heaven help me! No really, Heaven. Help. Me.

Finally, organized space I can be proud of!

I love to sew. It has never really mattered much where I sew. In our last house my sewing room was shared with the laundry/pantry/water heater room. Now I have a nice space to set up my sewing station. (It helps that I have a spare bedroom with a closet to hide my fabric stash)

I recently got an idea from my Sister-in-law for an easy pin board. She used foam core and covered it with fabric and nailed it to the wall. (She's brilliant)

I spent much of the day doing this and organizing my sew space. Here it is!

Yes this is a medical exam light.
No worries, I got it new not used!

Afternoon photos

10 + months

Hudson is 10 moths old now. He's starting to explore his world. He loves his walker. He has figured out how to get everywhere with it. He's still standing with assistance but is walking around things he holds on to. He's smart enough to gently sit down if he wants to crawl to another location. He has learned how to back off the couch and back out the entryway if I'm out front with the door open. We just installed the latches on the cabinet doors. He loves to open and close everything! He likes to pull things off the bookshelf. He takes his walker to the sliding glass door to look at and talk to the dogs.

He has always been a whiny baby and demand a lot of attention so the fact that I am able to get a few sewing projects done says we're coming along! I got this project done yesterday....

Hudson is spitting/throwing up less. We have him on soy formula and took him off the Prevacid. I'm not sure which on did the trick but I'm game with less of the mess everyday. I was at Hobby Lobby the other day and he was happy and content with sitting in the cart looking at everything but he spit up on the floor twice. It wasn't any little spit up. I had to ask the ladies for assistance. I didn't want people to slip in it and cause problems for the store...

Currently he's sitting on the floor behind me playing with a cereal box. There is hope...... He is getting better!
